Are you applying too much eye cream?

The skin surrounding your eye is the most delicate skin on your face. Because of this, you cannot apply just any product in that area. Select an eye cream based on your under-eye concerns, which may be dark circles, puffiness, crow’s feet, or a combination of these factors.

One of the most common eye cream errors is applying too much product. In general, you only need about a pea-sized amount of cream for both eyes. Applying too much cream can cause irritation and you’ll also run the risk of getting product into your eyes. Additionally, most eye creams come with a high price tag and using the right amount will make it last longer!

When applying product, obtain a pea-sized amount and use your ring finger to gently tap small dots of cream under your eye. Apply from the innermost corner to the outermost corner, back and forth, until absorbed. Use caution and do not get too close to your lower lashes. Your ring finger is the “weakest” finger which helps prevent too much pressure from being applied. The product should absorb in 2 minutes.
